Jessie Magee, CFA

FOUNDING MEMBER

  • Jessie Magee is responsible for research and portfolio management at COR3 Investment Partners. He is both the architect of the firm's multi-faceted fundamental investment process and portfolio manager of the COR3 Equity Strategy.

    Prior to founding COR3, he was a Partner and Portfolio Manager at EARNEST Partners, LLC. He graduated with a BS in Mechanical Engineering from Southern University and holds an MS in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Michigan as well as an MBA from Emory University. Prior to spending 16 years at EARNEST Partners, he worked in Research & Vehicle Technology at Ford Motor Company where he spent seven years working on alternative fuel technologies, occupant safety, and new product development. Later, he worked in Corporate Finance at Intel Corporation, where he developed strategies to proliferate the usage of reverse internet auctions for semi-conductor materials procurement. He also spent eight years in the Army and the Army National Guard as a Combat Engineer.

    He is a member of the CFA Institute, the CFA Society Atlanta and the Institute of Mathematical Statistics.

Katie Driver Owen

  • Katie Owen is responsible for client relations and operations at COR3 Investment Partners.

    Prior to founding COR3, she served as CFO & Parish Administrator at Calvary Episcopal Church, a large urban church in Memphis, TN. She graduated with a BA in Business Administration and Spanish from Furman University. She began her career in Equity Research at SunTrust Robinson Humphrey where she spent seven years covering the specialty retail sector. She then spent seven years working as a senior member of the Product Management team at EARNEST Partners, LLC – where she was a colleague of Jessie Magee.

    She currently serves as Chair of the Calvary Endowment.

John Owen

FOUNDING MEMBER

  • John Owen is responsible for development, client relations and compliance at COR3 Investment Partners.

    Prior to founding COR3, he was a Partner at Southeastern Asset Management, where he spent 12 years serving as a Client Relations Director. He graduated with a BS in Management from the Georgia Institute of Technology. After Georgia Tech, he began his career at Willamette Management Associates/Willamette Capital as a valuation and securities analyst. Later, he worked as an operator at Georgia-Carolina Manufacturing Company in multiple capacities before moving to DeMarche Associates, Inc., serving as an institutional key accounts manager.

    He currently serves as Chair of the West Tennessee Endowment Corporation and is the Vice Chair of the Regional One Health Foundation.
